Let’s Have an Art Show

Submissions are open for Union, our first group art show

Back in September 2019, when we first sat around a table and discussed the all the things we wished we could see more of in the Long Beach art scene, we ended with a laundry list of ideas.

Although art shows were definitely on the short list of ideas, I don’t believe any of us here thought we’d be having our first one within six months of kicking off this project.

Introducing Union, a group art show to celebrate visual arts in Long Beach. The show will be held between March 28th and April 30th, 2020, at the Artist’s Co-Op at 1330 Gladys Avenue.

Submissions are open to Long Beach visual artists who are also participants in our Art Clout Members group on Facebook.

If you’re a local artist and you’re interested in being part of this event, please read through our full submission guidelines. Any questions should be answered there, but you can always reach out to us for questions.

  1. I am new to the Long Beach area and have been researching groups of artists to be able to relate to, create with and Immerse myself in the local art community. I like the work, feel and message of this group. I’ll fill out a submission. Thank you.

    1. Thanks Lynn, we look forward to seeing your work, and hopefully catch you at a meetup or two.

  2. Dave, This is a great idea I will definitely participate. Art Clout is a much needed art connection for Long Beach artists, It adds to our quest to attain more exposure as artists and organizations. Perhaps there should be a list of organizations and galleries that is shared on FaceBook for artists to refer to.

    1. Hi Marka,

We might consider lists of resources in the future for sure. We have talked about having things like this available on the site.

  3. Hi. I live in Costa Mesa. I frequent Long Beach and am interested in the show. Can I participate, or would you prefer to limit it to those inside the city limits?

    1. Hello Kevin. We have gotten a few people from Orange County inquiring. You can always submit, but preferential treatment will be given to anyone who lives in Long Beach. Thanks.

  4. I understand. Best wishes for the show.

  5. Dave, I sent in an entry. Could you let me know if you got it? Thanks, Paula Burns Isenberg

    1. Hi Paula,

Sorry for the late reply. We did get your submission, thank you.
