We like to highlight businesses that make room in their space for art! Marida on 4th is one such place that has carved out a little space that they call the Tiny Arch Gallery, the name which becomes obvious when you see the picture below. What started out as a workspace for owner/designer Marida Ngov morphed into a tiny art space when she realized her original plans weren’t ideal during the pandemic.

The first artist to have a show in the space, Luis Zavala Tapia, helped come up with the name for the gallery and helped with other aspects of putting on an art show. He also recently painted a beautiful mural on one of the store’s interior walls.

Marida finds artists to feature mostly by referrals. The current show is “Faces” by TOMILUW, the alter ego of Tomisin Oluwole, a Long Beach/Lagos-based fashion stylist, photographer, writer, painter, and poet—a modern day renaissance woman! The show is up til 5/31/21.

Beautiful art on the walls, beautiful handcrafted jewelry by Marida, and other fun/cool items in this lovingly curated store. Marida on 4th is a must-visit when you’re in the area.
