In November, First Fridays in Bixby Knolls was dedicated to El Dia de Los Muertos, The Day of the Dead. Stretching along Atlantic, from San Antonio to Bixby Road, there was plenty to see!
There were several artists in the Alley at Burlinghall Drive.
Cinthya Delgado @_cinyy in the Alley. Maxima Vega, @maximavegaart The rest of the Alley
Michael Bermudez, @michaelbermudezart, had an installation in the Art Expo. Interesting work, all based on mathematics.
Sonification Algorithim In the Hollow Fields V3 Michael’s Art is based on fractals. Each part has the same statistical characteristic as the whole. Dave Clark with Michael.
Here is a collection of work found in the Art Expo.
Alice LeFae, @alicelefae LABL, @lisalargen Dia De Los Muertos.
This artist makes pictures through a technique called quilling. It’s a very labor intensive process. Unfortunately, she didn’t have a card to give us, but hopefully she will see this post and contact Art Clout!
E. Thor Carlson, @gallery.thor.lbc had a pop-up gallery featuring work from Eric Michael @ericmichael_art, Caryn Bumgartner @carynbumgartner, and Susan Erikson Hawkins @susanehawkins. The show was only open for two days, but was quite remarkable.
Great pics–almost like I was there 🙂
Just an update. I got an extension on these space and gallery.thor.lbc will be open by appointment and on Saturdays from noon to 6 through the end of November.
Message me on Instagram for an appointment.
